Registration for the upcoming fall season typically opens in late March or early April. At this point we are not sure what the season will look like due to COVID, so things are likely to change. The "usuall" registration process is outlined below.
Each club in the Capital District Minor Football Association (CDMFA) has recruitment boundaries that they can draw players from. The Mustangs recruitment boundaries are within the City of Edmonton, south of the North Saskatchewan River. If you are outside of our recruitment boundaries please contact us before registering.
The Registration fee for Atom, Peewee and Bantam divisions have not yet been determined for the 2021 season. The fee will depend on what kind of season we are alowed to have due to COVID restrictions. Registration fee in the 2019 season was $475.00

Mustangs do not require parent fundraising over and above the registration fee.
Registration Process:
The league cutoff date for player registrations is September 15. Mustangs will cut off registrations as teams fill up.
The ages for each division are as follows:
Atom 9 - 10 year olds (Birth Years 2011 - 2012)
Peewee 11 - 12 year olds (Birth Years 2009 - 2010)
Bantam 13, 14 and 15* year olds. (Birth Years 2008 - 2006 *and not entering High School)
Players will be required to bring government issued proof of age to equipment handout for visual verification by a SWEMFA official. Bantam players will also need to provide proof of school grade at equipment hand out. A post dated (Nov 1 2021) equipment deposit cheque for the amount of $350.00 made out to South West Edmonton Minor Football Association (SWEMFA) will be required at equipment handout. The cheque will be returned when equipment is returned and there are no outstanding funds due.
The Capital District Minor Football Association (CDMFA) reserves the right to perform spot checks of players proof of age and grade. These documents must be made available to the league upon request.
