Registration Information

Registration is now open for the 2022 season.  

The League has changed the way they will collect fees.  Rather than charging clubs a flat team fee as they have in the past,  they will directly charge players for the League fees, and the Football Alberta insurance.  The CDMFA Fee is made up of two parts, a $10 membership and a $100 contact football fee.     With the league Contact Fee each registrant will receive 10 raffle tickets of $10 each that they will be able to sell to recoup the cost of the fee, or keep the tickets for a chance to win the cash prize.  You are also able to opt out of the raffle (not the $100 fee) during the registration process.

Last season the Mustangs registration fee was reduced by $100 to $375 due to COVID uncertainty.  This year we are looking forward to a "normal" season and have set the Mustangs portion of the fee to $400.  The addition of the CDMFA and Football Alberta fees will make the total payable at registration $550, with the ability to recoup $100 in raffle ticket sales. 

If you are using Kidsport and/or Jumpstart funding for payment please contact the registrar.  The CDMFA and Football Alberta cannot process Kidsport/Jumpstart payments and registrations will need to be entered manually.   Email to get started. 



The Mustangs Registration fee includes: 

  • Use of equipment for the duration of the season
  • Spring camp
  • Main camp practice and games.
  • Insurance coverage for all events.
  • Team and individual player photo
  • Game Socks
  • T-Shirt
  • Mouth Guard

 Mustangs do not require parent fundraising over and above the registration fee.


Registration Process:

  • Click the Registration Link, that will take you to the Ramp Registration system.  You will be prompted to enter player and guardian information.  You will also be asked for player height (in feet/inches), weight (in pounds), T-Shirt size and School attending next fall.
  • Registration payment is made online with credit card.  
  • You will be contacted through the team email list about practice times and schedules. 


The league cutoff date for player registrations is September 15.  Mustangs will cut off registrations as teams fill up.


The ages for each division are as follows: 

Atom   9 - 10 year old's (Birth Years 2012 - 2013)

Peewee  11 - 12 year old's (Birth Years 2010 - 2011)

Bantam  13, 14 and 15 year old's. (Birth Years 2009 - 2007 ) Any player that will be entering grade 10 in the fall of 2022 is not eligible for the Bantam division


Players will be required to bring government issued proof of age to equipment handout for visual verification by a SWEMFA official.  Bantam players will also need to provide proof of school grade at equipment hand out.   A post dated (Nov 1 2022) equipment deposit cheque for the amount of $500.00 made out to South West Edmonton Minor Football Association (SWEMFA) will be required at equipment handout.  The cheque will be returned when equipment is returned and there are no outstanding funds due.


The Capital District Minor Football Association (CDMFA) reserves the right to perform spot checks of players proof of age and grade.   These documents must be made available to the league upon request.
