Capital District Minor Football Association (CDMFA) is a Registered Society (Alberta) whose members operate the league in order to provide the opportunity for minor football teams in the City of Edmonton and its surrounding communities to play each other in the spirit of friendly competition. Our Member Associations or Clubs operate teams in the various levels available under Football Alberta rules for minor football in Alberta.

Some of our Member Associations only operate a single team, whereas others operate multiple teams.  These teams include: U9 (Novice) Flag teams, U11 (Atom) teams, U13 (Peewee) teams, U16 (Bantam) teams, U19 (Midget) teams and U16 & U19 Female Tackle teams.

 

Football Alberta is the Provincial Sport Governing Non-Profit Association For All Amateur Football in Alberta. The Mission of Football Alberta is to develop, promote, coordinate, regulate and foster the growth of all aspects of amateur football in Alberta. Our aim is to establish an administrative structure which will provide programs and services to accomplish this stated objective and mission.

Football Alberta operates under a trade name and is officially registered as the Alberta Amateur Football Association (AAFA), a non-profit society under the corporate registry of the government of Alberta. And has  a membership including all amateur football programs in Alberta--Atom, Pee-Wee, Bantam, Midget, High School (Jr. & Sr.), Junior, University, Women, Sr. Men, Flag, Touch and Officials. Football Alberta is a member of The Canadian Amateur Football Association (CAFA (Football Canada)

 

Football Canada is the trade name that The Canadian Amateur Football Association (CAFA) operates as. It is the National governing body of Canadian Amateur Football, which represents tackle, touch and flag disciplines including players, coaches, officials and administrators.
